Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of MyFins ("the Service"), operated by Arnas Goldberg ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What MyFins is — and is not

MyFins is a tool to help you visualize your own personal finances over time. It is not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Projections are based on the figures you enter and on simplified assumptions; they are not predictions and they are not guarantees. Do not make consequential financial decisions based solely on what MyFins shows you. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

Beta software

The Service is currently in closed beta. Features may change, break, or disappear. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it without notice. We aim to preserve your data through such changes but make no commitment to do so.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at a.goldbergas@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to attack it, or use it in ways that endanger other users.

Your data, your responsibility

The financial data you enter belongs to you. You can export it as JSON at any time (Settings → Export data). We make reasonable efforts to keep it available and intact, but you should not rely on MyFins as the only copy of important information.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to access another user's account or data, or to bypass authentication;
• attack the Service (denial of service, brute force, exploit attempts, etc.);
• use the Service to violate any law that applies to you;
• scrape, replicate, or resell the Service.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that projections are accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service — including any financial decision you take based on what the Service shows you. Our total aggregate liability under these terms is limited to any fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, during the closed beta, is zero).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g. for gross negligence or willful misconduct).

Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we change anything material, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where reasonable, notify signed-in users. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
